A rapidly growing Nephrology practice in the San Fernando Valley has an opening for a Medical Assistant.

The Medical Assistant is our practice's face and will play an essential role in our mission to provide patients with a top-tier office experience. As an integral team member, the MA will work closely with Admin Staff, NPs, PA's, Doctors, and patients and families to improve the patient's quality of life.

The Medical Assistant will be responsible for performing Admin-related duties on a professional level while carrying out responsibilities in the functional areas of font/back office billing, scheduling, Medical records, filing, Reports, data entry, and substantial patient interaction. This position is a fast-paced work environment, and it is crucial to meet deadlines. This position is a fantastic opportunity for the right person looking for a long-term career.

Responsibilities

· Customer Service is paramount! able to politely greet patients upon arrival/dismissal

· Respond to patient questions and or concerns according to company Policies

· Answering Telephones

· Scheduling Appointments

· Follow up on no-shows/cancellation of Appointments

· Medical record

· Patient education

· Chart Filling

· Data entry

· Billing audits

· Medical record reviews and audits

· Checking voicemail daily

· Maintain a clean and friendly waiting area for patients

· At all times you will perform and undertake such other duties and responsibilities as are requested of you by the Office Manager

· Supports strategic initiatives and maintains a high standard of customer service.

· Other duties may be as assigned by the supervisor

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, PRN, Per diem

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
