Job description

POSITION:
Looking for a licensed medical assistant to perform front and back-office functions in a pain management medical office. The position includes: Checking patients in & out/cashier and appointment scheduling on an EMR platform. Patient clinical- performs patient intake, documentation, vital signs, injections and helps with procedures. Performs insurance authorizations, and medical records requests.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Use of computer intake, and documentation. Quality customer service, reliable, outgoing, and being a team player are essential. Needs to effectively communicate with physicians, insurance companies, and other employees. Knowledge of chronic pain conditions is a plus, and Spanish bilingual preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, and assist patients when needed from sitting to standing. Must have the dexterity to operate a computer keyboard, phones, and basic office equipment.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Medical assistant diploma and license (current) required.
Medical knowledge and terminology.
Salary competitive; commensurate upon experience.
