REPORTS TO: FAMILY PRACTICE LOCATION OFFICE MANAGER , DIRECTOR , HUNT REGIONAL MEDICAL PARTNERS
STATUS: FULL TIME

SCHEDULE: MONDAY – FRIDAY, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
***EMPLOYEE IS EXPECTED TO BE ON SITE AND PREPARED FOR PATIENTS SCHEDULED OUTSIDE OF THIS NORMAL SCHEDULE
HOURS: ACCORDING TO SCHEDULE
OVERTIME: MUST BE APPROVED IN ADVANCE

FLOAT: YES, ON PRN BASIS TO OTHER OFFICES AND POSITIONS AS RELIEF
Position Objective: To support Hunt Regional Medical Partners’ multi-specialty practice in a clinical and administrative capacity. Employee will be proficient in all areas of responsibility, with minimal supervision and oversight required
Back Office:
Greet and Room Patients
Vitals
Obtain History/Physical, Reason for Visit
Reconcile Medication(s) with Patient
Assist Physician/Provider in Patient Interaction and Procedures
Patient Treatment Room Preparation and Maintenance
Data Entry of Demographic and Clinical Information into HMRP System(s)
Referral Coordination, both outgoing and incoming
Surgery Scheduling and Coordination between Physician/Hospital and Patient
Pre-Operative Appointment Scheduling and Coordination between Hospital and Patient
Communicating Lab and Procedure Results to Patients
Review and Clarification of patient consent forms with patient prior to patient signing forms
Call/Process Prescriptions to Pharmacy as applicable
Ability to provide and explain instructions for Patient Procedure Preparation, Prescription, and other directives needed with regard to patient education
Preparation of Chart information for Physician as needed/requested
Inventory Maintenance
Patient Education, including but not limited to:
Insulin Teaching
Blood glucose monitor for patient self-management of diabetes
Use of Peak Flow Meter and Inhaler use for COPD and/or Asthma
Equipment and Testing
Glucometer, including QC of glucometer
PFT
ABI Measuring
EKG
CLIA waived testing
EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
Will possess excellent verbal/communication skills
Possess the ability to resolve conflict
Possess excellent listening skills
High School Diploma or equivalent
Medical Assistant
Preferred Education
Medical Assistant Certification

Index Scanned Documents
Check in and out functions
Collect Appropriate Copayments and Co-Insurances

Additional tasks and duties as assigned
