Vineyard Medical Care is looking for a Medical Assistant to join our family. If you like small town vibes and very flexible schedules, this would be the perfect fit for you.

We are a small medical office that serves year-round island and seasonal residents and welcomes vacationing visitors who require medical attention. Our office in Vineyard Haven provides primary care and offers another option to avoid hospital emergency room visits when care is needed for sudden illnesses or other common medical problems.

Ideally we are looking for someone who is able to start part-time and become full-time in the spring/summer.

Responsibilities consist of a variety of tasks, from checking a patient’s vitals to managing patient files. Expected duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Assisting Doctors and Nurse Practitioners with patients
• Assessing, observing, and speaking to patients
• Recording details and symptoms of patient medical history and current health
• Preparing patients for exams and treatment
• Performing wound care, such as cleaning and bandaging them
• Assisting in medical procedures as needed
• Operating and monitoring medical equipment
• Collecting urine samples and other body fluids for lab work
• Contacting patients regarding upcoming appointments
• Assisting administrative team with scheduling, referrals, and data entry

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Per diem

Pay: $40,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
