Responsibilities:
The Medical Assistant will be part of the team in our Family Medicine Group and will be hands-on assisting physicians with patient care. Duties include, but are not limited to:
- clerical, environmental, and organizational tasks
- appointment scheduling and chart management
- provide information to patients so they may fully utilize and benefit from the clinic services
- convey a positive image of organization
Education and Qualifications
- high school diploma or equivalent, or relevant experience, required
- Medical Assistant (MA) Certification or higher level certification/licensure
- if no current MA certification or higher-level licensure, must obtain MA certification at the responsibility of the employee within six months of hire
- current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current
- minimum one year work experience in public contact job
- work experience in health care, preferred
