Seeking a Medical Assistant for our surgical practice who provides clinical expertise to ensure all patients receive high-quality, efficient care. We are an amazing team that works hard to support each other and are seeking a phenomenal addition who feels patient care is as meaningful as we do.
Duties
- Effectively participates in planning and preparing for patient visits ensuring appropriate schedules, test results, and clinic-specific requirements are available.
- Assisting physicians, rooming patients, obtaining health history and chief complaint, documenting/scanning examination findings during visit in EMR system.
- Prepare exam rooms with the necessary instruments for patients including preparation and maintenance of supplies, equipment, and sterilization.
- Schedule patient appointments and accommodate patient appointment needs, along with routine clerical duties including photocopying, scanning, faxing, etc.
- Patient education and Pre-op Appointments: explaining medical procedures, going over patient consent forms, fees, hospital information, etc.
- Performs responsibilities in a manner that promotes quality patient care and customer service/satisfaction.

- Ability to prioritize and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while still paying attention to details.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-starter: desire to learn required skills and take initiative in your training.
- Strong work ethic: report to work on time, committed to delivering the best medical and customer service experience, willing to go the extra mile for both co-workers and patients.
- Schedule: ability to work M-F.
- High school diploma required.
