Job Title: Medical Assistant/Front Desk Specialist
Department: Dr. Monsivais Office - Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery
Reports to: Dr. Monsivais
Hours: Monday-Thursday 7:00 am to 4:00 pm (with some Fridays)
North Bend Medical Center is currently hiring a Medical Assistant/Front Desk Specialist for Dr. Monsivais office. Located in Coos Bay Oregon along the beautiful Southern Oregon coast. North Bend Medical Center hosts over 100+ providers in a variety of specialties and 400+ employees.

Full Job Description:
Position Summary:
Perform front and back-office duties, answering phones, scheduling patients, handling referrals/work queue, rooming patients, suture removals, draw injections, taking vitals, assist provider with procedures, process prescription refills, patient follow-up, schedule surgeries and other tasks that are assigned.
Principle Responsibilities:
- Schedule appointments by phone or in person.
- Triage patients.
- Process patient paperwork, referrals, lab requests, etc.
- Process prescription refills.
- Clean and prepare exam rooms.
- Room patients, take vitals.
- Order X-Rays.
- Assist provider with procedures.
- Maintain strict confidentiality.
- Demonstrate safe work practices.
- Order and keep up with supplies.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Flexible, able to prioritize and multitask in an ever-changing environment.
- Good analytical, oral communication and written communication skills
- Maintain a professional attitude and appearance.
- Use of computer and telephones
- Consistent and punctual attendance
