CES provides a full range of advanced HVAC commercial, healthcare, and industrial services, including mechanical engineering design, mechanical construction, plumbing, Indoor Air Quality (IAQ), preventative maintenance, system maintenance, repairs, and replacement.

Essential Duties:

  • Knowledge of chillers, boilers, air handlers, and HVAC systems
  • Performs pre-functional inspections/checklist and start-up of commercial HVAC systems
  • Performs installation, diagnostic, and repairs on refrigeration systems at the time of startup and warranty period
  • Reading of and understanding control wiring and high voltage wiring diagrams
  • Interprets blueprints, submittal data, and installation/operation manuals to provide complete startup per manufacturers' recommendations
  • Documents work by completing all paperwork on each job for each piece of equipment.
  • Assist installation mechanics in completing and mounting of field-installed devices on equipment prior to start-up as needed
  • Troubleshoot issues as they arise
  • Work with Commissioning agents as required and complete required documentation
  • Essential Duties
  • Conduct HVAC/R servicing jobs promptly, professionally, and efficiently
  • Perform routine HVAC/R service activities
  • Prepare start-up documentation as required
  • Recognize potential revenue leads by communicating additional services with the customer. Listed are a few service examples: unit components, unit replacements, add-on units, and commercial service contracts
  • Develop and refer customer leads to the CES Sales team
  • Capable of supporting new construction and retrofit related projects
  • Perform related duties as directed
  • Lead project repairs or replacements, as assigned
  • Demonstrate proper use of Safety Equipment at all times
  • Ability to manage time and workload effectively
  • Ensure company vehicle is clean and well maintained at all times
  • Ensure compliance with safe driving practices while driving a company vehicle
  • Flexibility to work weekdays, weekends, holidays, and overtime is required


Requirements:

  • 4-year minimum experience in installation and startup of HVAC equipment
  • Communication and customer service skills
  • Computer skills in using Microsoft office and/or IPad for generation of field reports/startup forms
  • Knowledge of control and equipment sequence of operations
  • VRF installation and startup is a plus

Education

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Graduate of a post-secondary HVACR program of instruction with two or more years in duration
  • Graduate of factory training for chillers, boilers, etcetera.


Licenses/Certifications

  • Universal Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Certification required
  • Valid Florida Driver's License is required
  • Incumbent must be insurable at all times by CES insurance carrier
  • OSHA 10 certification, preferred but not required
