JOB PURPOSE:
The mechanical engineer will design and test all mechanical equipment and machinery aspects
.ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Identifying deficiencies in mechanical processes and developing improvements.
· Builds models and prototypes of the product and tests the design.
· Developing, initiating, and completing all phases of projects.
· Preparing documentation of critical analysis and providing suggestions for correcting errors.
· Produces product specifications and chooses raw materials and components for production.
· Confirms system and product capabilities by designing feasibility and testing methods and properties.
· Develops manufacturing processes by designing and modifying equipment for fabricating, building, assembling, and installing components.
· Resolve project operational problems and minimize delays or unexpected cost increases.
· Ensure all relevant safety objectives and legal requirements are observed for all work completed.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
· Bachelor’s Degree in mechanical engineering.
· 2 years of related experience.
· Strong fundamental knowledge of mechanical design and its application in automated industrial designs.
· Proficient with computer-assisted design (CAD) software.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
· Adhere to health and safety regulations.
· Travel as required to support projects.
· Excellent math skills.
· Creative thinking and innovation.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
· Experience in manufacturing
· Knowledge in production procedures
· Handle Heavy Equipment
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
· Regularly required to walk, stand, and talk or hear.
· Vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
· Use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls.
· Occasional reaching with hands and arms.
· Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
· Regularly lift 15 pounds.
· Must be able to access and inspect all areas of the machinery.
· Regularly apply reasoning and common sense.
· Use muscles to lift, push, pull or carry objects.
