MECHANICAL ENGINEER

JOB SUMMARY: Plans, conducts, and directs mechanical portion of engineering

projects of major significance requiring the application of advanced

knowledge in electrical/electronic packaging. Originates mechanical

design and applies new and creative techniques. Must have good

communicative and coordinative skills to supply technical advice and counsel

to management and other professionals. May represent the company in

outside discussions.

REPORTS TO: Mechanical Engineering Manager

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

*Demonstrates good communicative skills.

*Plans and develops mechanical product designs.

*Proficient in the use of AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor.

*Creates, modifies, and maintains product hardware documentation.

*Develops and maintains schedules for new product development and sustaining

projects.

*Coordinates between departments or assigned jobs and/or projects.

*Ensures that all documentation is complete, checked, and approved on

assigned jobs or projects.

*Releases jobs or projects to production.

*Acts as Mechanical Engineering representative in discussions.

*Generates Engineering Change Orders (ECO's) on jobs or projects as

assigned.

*Develops the Mechanical Engineering aspects of quotes including the

specification review and engineering design estimate.

*Develops new ideas and concepts for improvement in Engineering Operations.

*Travel as required for training, support of project tasks, product issues,

or other design or job related needs.

*Performs other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

*B.S.M.E. Degree.

*One to three years experience preferred.

*AutoCAD experience preferred.

*Proficient in the use of Desktop Software (Excel, Word and Power Point)
