Meat Room Cleaner

This position is full-time with a pay rate of $17.04/hour.
Summary
Ensure the thorough sanitizing and cleaning of the meat market processing room.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Cover sensitive equipment, such as the wrapping machines and electronic scales.
- Remove or protect food packaging materials prior to cleaning the room.
- As a part of the pre-cleaning process, clear all debris from the meat processing area.
- Remove empty trim barrels from the holding area and thoroughly clean and sanitize.
- Clean the meat market processing area, the preparation area, and wrapping areas. This includes, but is not limited to: the walls, windows, glass doors, ceilings, floor, sinks, tables, drains, meat rails, cooling units, meat trays, racks, trim barrels, meat saws, grinders and attachments, slicers, cubers, all other equipment with exposed surfaces inside the processing room, and underneath non-movable structures used in connection with processing of meat.
- After cleaning, apply the sanitizer to all meat room surfaces.
- Perform all cleaning in accordance with agency policies.
- Train employees in safety standards: new employee first day orientation and ongoing hazard communication.
- Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree.
- The ability to read or identify names of chemicals on containers.
- Knowledge of OSHA safety standards related to meat processing room operations.
Qualifications
Must maintain the ability to pass a criminal background check and random drug screens.
Must maintain a valid Ohio driver's license and driving record acceptable to Goodwill's liability insurance provider.
