About the Organization and Position
Well known Non-Profit Health Agency is hiring for a Supervisor for Meals on Wheels.
This wonderful non-profit serves people age 60 and older, adults living with disabilities, and their families and caregivers in Lynn, Lynnfield, Nahant, Saugus, and Swampscott, Massachusetts for more than 45 years. They provide a continuum of community health and social services to help people maintain their independence, safely and with dignity. Providing a broad range of services including home care services; nutrition programs; transportation assistance; housing supports; clinical and protective services etc. The agency recently received a second prestigious 3-year accreditation for excellence in case management and care coordination from the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA).
The Meals on Wheels Supervisor will oversee the daily routines of the core of drivers delivering meals to consumers This will include ensuring optimal workflows, delivering training and ongoing quality monitoring, ensuring proper maintenance of the HDM vehicle fleet, and supporting the Nutrition Program Manager as needed. The Home Delivered Meals Driver Supervisor will be expected to participate in meal deliveries when
necessary.

Responsibilities
Schedules drivers to ensure optimal workflows, including managing time off requests and
securing replacements for route vacancies (e.g. contacting/assigning per diem drivers) as
appropriateReceiving and effectively managing distribution of daily food orders
Supporting drivers in effectively managing issues that may arise while they are making
deliveriesWorking with the Nutrition Program Manager in the design and delivery of driver training
and establishing/implementing quality metrics around program performanceWorking with the Nutrition Program Manager to improve communications and workflows
across the various elements of the Nutrition, Phoenix Food Hub, and other agency programs
and departments as appropriateWorking with the Nutrition Program Manager, Community Services Director and HR team
in resolving driver issues and/or administering disciplinary action as appropriateEnsuring vans are properly inspected, registered, and proactively maintained, and logging
maintenance routines as well as repairs
Experience
- Associates Degree or certification of management training plus at least
two years of supervisory experience - Current MA Driver’s license
- Excellent problem solving skill
- Proven ability to multi-task
