Now Hiring Material Handler (Bulk Operator)! – Greenville, OH

BASF‘s Coatings division is a global expert in the development, production and marketing of innovative and sustainable automotive OEM and refinish coatings, surface treatment solutions and decorative paints.

Our Greenville site located in Ohio focuses on delivering the Future of Coatings offering chemical solutions for surfaces.

As a Material Handler (Bulk Operator) for our Coatings Division, you will be responsible for all functions pertaining to the shipping and receiving of all bulk finished materials and raw materials. May perform a variety of other tasks relating to shipment of products. You will work and be a part of a continuously developing team -oriented atmosphere. Soft skills such as a cooperative spirit and the motivation to assist other team members as workflow dictates are essential for the role.

During your time as a Material Handler (Bulk Operator), you will…

• Loading and off-loading bulk materials.
Operating powered industrial equipment such as yard tractors to transport materials to and from truck dock. Work with sample tank wagons and storage tanks. Verify schedule, tank wagon, and material before loading or off-loading. Monitor product movement to and from storage tanks, coordinating activities with production lanes. Check conditions and weights of vessels to ensure compliance with loading procedures. Inspect load/unload areas cleanliness and conditions. Operate pumps and equipment to transfer material. Adjust valves to control flow of material to tanks or tank wagons. Familiarity with chemical safety/hygiene issues.

Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent

If you have…

High School Diploma or GED. Between 2-3 years of chemical handling experience. Ability to lift up to 55lbs since it is a physically demanding job. Are eligible to be certified to operate powered industrial equipment.
