Material Handler
This position is located in our Yadkinville, NC Facility.
This position is for our Taco Line: Night Shift - 12 hr. Schedule and will be transitioning to a 3-2-2-3 schedule.
Due to the complexity and requirements of the line, an employee who is assigned a permanent position on this Taco Line will receive the additional premium pay of $2.

Responsibilities:
- Use forklift and walkie to move materials to various locations throughout the plant.
- Stages ingredients and packaging materials to specific areas in accordance with production schedule.
- Checks materials for damage or obsolescence.
- Maintains inventory by cycle count for all non-inventory and consumable materials.
- Locates materials and supplies by pulling and verifying materials listed on production orders.
- Receives unused materials, from production, and verifies code, lot number, and quantity.
- Prepares unused materials for storage by counting, covering, inspecting, and securing product.
- Assists in monthly, quarterly, and annual cycle counts as required.
- Maintains forklift equipment by completing pre-use inspection paperwork.
- General housekeeping and specific sanitation task are also required.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
- Enforces plant GMP’s and Food Safety policies and procedures.
Experience, Skills, Education:
- Forklift License Certification Required
- Material Handler Experience Required
- Must be Able to Ride/Operate a Forklift for Extended Amount of Time
- Reading/Math Comprehension Abilities
- Good Math Skills
- Attention to Detail & Capability to Work Independently
- Ability to Identify Problems and Respond Accordingly
