Work Duties and Tasks:

Responsible for the production of small- and large-scale Masonry projects.

Quality

• Assist the Mason read and interpret blueprints, structural drawings, and specifications to execute work
• Sort and gather stone, brick, or block for erection
• Assist in building and dismantling forms used for pouring concrete
• Assemble, erect, and dismantle scaffolding, rigging, and hoisting equipment
• Accurately install project according to plans and on budget with guidance of Mason
• Load truck and trailer as needed to and from job site/shop
• Assist in the preparation of jobsites prior to the beginning of a project
• Properly mix various grades of mortars
• Properly mix, pour, and spread concrete
• Ensure that a structure is perfectly vertical and horizontal, using a plumb bob and level
• Clean and polish surfaces with hand or power tools
• Fill expansion joints with the appropriate caulking materials
• Special duties and projects assigned as needed

Safety

• Attend safety trainings
• Assist in ensuring crew is working safely and job sites are safe at all time; anticipate potential hazards
• Notify People Operations of any accidents and submitting incident reports according to Company policy, in the foreman’s absence

Time Management

• Ensure to project Foreman is clocking you in and out on a daily basis
• Meet project hours budget

Equipment Operation & Maintenance

• Check fluid levels before operating
• Assist communicating and directing crew on proper use of equipment, and weight and volume limitations
• Perform preventative maintenance on tools and equipment by conducting inspections, lubricating, and cleaning daily

Snow Crew (if assigned)

• Maintain 24-hour on call status during snow season
• Properly operate snow removal equipment
• Plow, shovel, and apply ice melt in designated areas as assigned

You are:

• Organized –You possess the ability to handle multiple priorities at once and can keep a clean workspace.
• Independent – You can work with a team, but also on your own. You are comfortable with tackling daily tasks with minimal supervision.
• Problem Solver – You are motivated to solve problems and puzzles that stump most people. You take gratification in getting there first.

Your Experience:

• 3+ years of field experience (Preferred)
• Valid driver’s license with approval from fleet insurance carrier (Required)
• OSHA-10 or higher (Preferred)
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) (Preferred)
• Masonry Certification (Preferred)

Starting Salary Range: $50,000 - $65,000 per year plus OT
