What This Role Is…

As a Marketing Coordinator, Retail, the primary function of this position is to create a holistic experience of our marketing content inside our showrooms. The marketing coordinator is also responsible for driving the success of both forward-thinking projects and best practices that have a global impact on Retail Marketing’s activities. Your contributions will ensure the success of the brand marketing in-store events at CITY Furniture.

What You’ll Do…

As a Marketing Coordinator, Retail, your primary responsibilities will be to:

• Oversee planning and execution of retail events (75%)
• Track and hindsight events (15%)

• Main KPIs: Traffic, Revenue, Market Share, Brand Health
• Performance by store, vs competition
• Showroom manager feedback

• Assist with the development of a holistic retail marketing event strategy that drives business performance while staying true to brand equity. (10%)

Additional duties and responsibilities as a Marketing Coordinator, Retail:

• Drive the end-to-end retail event strategy and process
• Manage projects to meet budget and timing parameters
• Proactively seek out new opportunities for income generation
• Plan event details and aspects, including seating, dining and guests
• Establish and maintain relationships with vendors
• Manage events and address potential problems that may arise. Plan for potential scenarios that could impact the integrity of the event
• Maintain a working knowledge of the complex needs of a wide variety of events
• Manage the event on the day, including setting up, instructing external contractors and internal staff, handling client queries and troubleshooting on the day of the event.
• Oversee the dismantling and removal of the event and clearing the showroom efficiently

What’s Required…

• Education & Work Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
  • Type of experience in or from a related field preferred.

• Work Environment & Schedule:
  • 5 days of the Week
  • 40 hours working per week.
  • Travel to showrooms for events

• Physical Requirements:
  • Lifting 25 lbs, working at high heights, set-up, bending, Prolonged sitting, standing, walking

• Technology Requirements:
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs (i.e. Excel, Word, and Outlook, etc.)
  • Google Suite (i.e. Docs, Sheets, Slides, etc.)
