The Marketing Communications Specialist position manages the local marketing activities in conjunction with the global marketing organization. The position will interface with local and global teams to support marketing communication initiatives for a cutting-edge B2B company, adhering to established policies and procedures. Our US operations are headquartered in Dulles, Virginia; the Marketing Communications Specialist position is hybrid to Dulles, or G+D’s site in Atlanta or San Jose, and may require occasional travel, and weekend/evening hours.

Responsibilities:

• Manage physical and virtual tradeshows, events, seminars, including booth properties, logistics preparation, event managers/external vendors, attendee registration, and new event participation plans, with clear attention to detail, budget, deadlines, messaging and branding
• Create and maintain sales support materials, including customer presentation templates, market strategy deployment, collateral, fighting guides, newsletters, white papers, giveaways, etc., ensuring adherence to corporate branding policies
• Investigate, secure and support speaking opportunities within the industry
• Support traditional and social media messaging with press releases and postings
• Support lead management and campaign development and execution, including aspects of Salesforce and Hubspot
• Ensure brand and corporate narrative are used according to guidelines externally and throughout the organization
• Assist with other marketing efforts as needed to support department
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent plus at least 5 years of related experience
• Excellent oral and written communications skills and extreme attention to detail
• Excellent administrative and organizational skills to work effectively in a dynamic, deadline-oriented environment that requires balancing multiple assignments simultaneously on a daily basis
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, but participate in a team and manage deliverables as required
• Ability to interact effectively with individuals at all levels from diverse cultures and with varying degrees of technical competency
• Proficiency with multiple software programs: Microsoft Office required and experience with Adobe Creative Cloud, Adobe Pro, SharePoint, and Salesforce a plus
