Great Lakes Integrated Network (GLIN), an affiliate of Kaleida Health and Erie County Medical Center Corporation, is a Buffalo-based, physician-led independent physicians association (IPA) consisting of approximately 600 physicians in the areas of primary and specialty care. The mission of GLIN is to transform the healthcare experience in Western New York (WNY), promoting high-quality, equitable, and efficient healthcare through innovation and collaboration. Great Lakes Integrated Network is looking for an energetic and self-motivated Marketing Communication Coordinator to join our marketing & communication team.
The Marketing Communication Coordinator will assist the marketing manager in the day-to-day communications, promotional efforts, social media, branding, newsletters, PowerPoint presentations, and marketing collateral. As well as assisting in events, and administrative duties in developing and executing marketing strategies. The Marketing Communication Coordinator will serve as a marketing liaison and collaborate with the GLIN team to ensure each project receives the resources and attention it needs to be successful.
In addition to being an excellent communicator and writer, the Marketing Communication Coordinator must have exceptional multitasking and organizational abilities, and process an in-depth knowledge of marketing skills.
Duties and Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
- Assists with daily administrative duties.
- Prepares detailed promotional presentations.
- Assists in writing communications including letters, newsletters, marketing collateral, web content, invitations, press releases, and reports.
- Researches and produces collateral materials as directed.
- Plans and executes assigned aspects of special events.
- Creates and grows social media presence; posting on various social media platforms, such as Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
- Establishes and maintains lines of communication and support between Great Lakes Integrated Network (GLIN) and external constituents such as physicians and practices, health care plans, elected officials, media, community groups, and other health care providers.
- Drafts talking points for speeches, messages to staff, communication rounds, etc. for the executive team.
- Drafts and distributes a bi-weekly newsletter for assigned audiences.
- Writes posts articles to Campaign Monitor to notify the network and staff of news, updates, changes, etc.
- Designs and formats signage, documents, and booklets as requested by individual departments for sharing with practices, providers, and staff as well as informational materials for providers, such as welcome letters and booklets.
- Collects and organizes information needed to produce departmental resources for staff, i.e. an onboarding resource. Draft and distribute press releases to enhance the visibility & reputation of GLIN.
- Acts as the media contact for all inquiries.
- Manages and maintains GLIN’s websites, including drafting and posting new content
- Manages the site marketing budget.
- Plans and implements regular participation in health fairs and other community venues.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Business, Communications, Marketing, or similar preferred. Two (2) years of experience in Communications, marketing, or similar required
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Creative problem solver
- Responsibility to complete projects by a pre-determined deadline
- Ability to work well with others and independently
- Ability to multitask
- Proficient understanding of the latest marketing trends and techniques.
- Previous experience with the use of Adobe Creative Cloud (Adobe InDesign and Photoshop), PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Familiarity with Hootsuite
