We are adding a Manufacturing Engineer to our growing team. The position with liaison between engineering and manufacturing with a focus on supporting the production team, increasing manufacturing improvements, streamlining processes, cost savings initiatives and instilling a high quality standard.
Key responsibilities:
· Involved with initial design & project reviews, providing input when applicable.
· Analyzes plant capacity and determine manufacturing processes, tools, and human resource requirements. Presents recommendations and works with department leads to accomplish.
- Identify opportunities and implement changes to improve products/processes or reduce costs using knowledge of manufacturing processes, tooling and production equipment, quality control standards, and product design and materials.
· Works with machine shop improvement team to identify and improve production.
- Tracks, monitors, and audits product and process results to ensure desired product meet quality levels, and manufacturability are achieved.
- Determine root causes of failures using mathematical and analytical methods and recommend changes in designs, tolerances, or processing methods.
· Manage material procurement, using project parameter and communicating lead times.
· Ensures all drawings, work tickets, purchase orders and vendors are up to date with current revisions.
· Responsible for ERP data integrity by maintaining Bill of Materials and work ticket.
· Leads Continues Improvement Team applying methods such as lean manufacturing to enhance manufacturing quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
- Create applicable, detailed work instructions and manufacturing process documents that ensure safe and successful process execution.
· Collaborates with Production Control on scheduling, purchasing and cost analysis of capacity and utilizing outside vendors.
· Use and understanding of the Sage ERP system.
· Input with facility layout improvements to create improved efficiencies when required.
- Support the factory floor by providing technical expertise, how to information, and hands-on problem analysis/solutions to operators and technicians.
· Interact with Supply Chain Management, Finance, and Production departments to make decisions regarding rework/repair of damaged materials or purchase of new materials.
Qualifications:
· Engineering Degree or higher
· 5-10 years’ experience in the role of Manufacturing Engineer/Continuous Improvement
· Ability to effectively use statistics in analyzing process data
· Strong oral, written and presentation skills
· Ability to lead cross functional teams
· ISO 9000 and AS9100
· Previous experience in machine shop/lab helpful

Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
