Duties & Responsibilities:

Manager of Projects - Manage the execution of major capital projects related to infrastructure required to meet plutonium pit production deliverables. Works directly with senior leadership to ensure execution of the new Plutonium infrastructure Directorate capital construction project portfolio. Provide the capabilities and relevant Laboratory elements to successfully deliver excellence in safe execution of projects and assure performance against relevant prime contract elements.

The MOP 4 will assist with Integrated Safety Management (ISM) and serve as the alternate line manager performing all aspects of personnel management, including but not limited to: managing headcount, forecasting and budget(s) associated with group, directing assignments, and training, providing continuous performance. Works with the MOP 5, or the Program Director, to define the scope of the portfolios and develop strategies and plans to address project needs, specifically in waste management. This includes developing resource needs, logistics, and assistance to management on matters dealing with Laboratory policies and procedures to ensure compliance, implements project management policies, plans, and programs for the orderly execution of projects including monitoring the execution of deliverables.
