Statement of Job:

The University of Southern Maine’s Parking Services is seeking a Parking and Transportation Services Manager to join our team.

This position is responsible for providing leadership, direction, and administrative management of the parking services department as well as managing overall transportation services supporting the University. This position manages all surface parking lots at all campuses, two structured parking garages totaling over 1600 spaces. The position will also be responsible for day-to-day interactions with the regional mass transit authority (METRO). The Manager of Parking and Transportation Services reports directly to the Associate Vice President of Operations for USM and will serve in a leadership capacity establishing and maintaining policy related to transportation demand, transportation services, parking garage operations, parking enforcement, and related revenue. In addition, the Manager will serve as the Parking Committee Chair and member of the METRO advisory committee.

This is a full-time position with an annual salary up to $48,150 commensurate with experience. The primary office is located on our Portland Campus with some expectation of work/service in Portland, Gorham, and Lewiston/Auburn as needed.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of related experience; OR equivalent professional experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills, leadership, and customer service.
