Overview: Under the direction of the Director - Operations, oversees the delivery, assembly, and deployment of a wide variety of clinical medical equipment to new and existing medical facilities.
Manages and coordinates the completion of the equipment handling phase of projects for our customers by directing, communicating, controlling, and coordinating all onsite functions relating to the delivery, installation, assembly, and acceptance clinical medical equipment. This position requires an individual with strong verbal and written communication skills.
This is a fast-paced working environment with travel to new or existing medical facilities nationwide. We take great pride in providing our customers with exceptional service to meet their logistics requirements. This position is a “work from home” remote position when not traveling to projects.
Some flexibility in hours is allowed, but the employee must be available during the “core” work hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work or travel may be required as job duties demand.
Responsibilities: Managing warehousing activities and working closely with the hospital staff, contractor and outside vendors to accomplish the operational goals of the organization.
- Travel 50%-80% to new or renovated hospitals
- Trains and supervises the warehousing crew(s)
- Ensures that warehouse workforce receives specialized training when needed
- Manages, sorts inspect, unboxes assembles equipment for deployment into hospitals
- Develops a spirit of cooperation and understanding among the work group
- Coordinates warehouse activity with the office and hospital staff
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business or medical related field (Preferred, but not required)
- 2+ years of Logistics, warehousing and distribution experience required
- Military logistics experience is a plus
- Valid State Issued Divers License (Required)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills (Required)
- Experience managing people preferred
- Proficient in MS Word, Outlook and Excel (Required)
