Summary: The Manager for ALI Programs will provide planning and logistical support for all ALI events; oversee day to day management of program activities including recruitment, scheduling, reporting and evaluation. This position will work with staff across ASTHO to message and promote collaboration with other ASTHO programs.

Location: Remote

Anticipated salary: $74,000 Extended experience: up to $88,000 if experience exceeds expectations

Principal Functions:

  • Provide management and oversite for ASTHOs Leadership Institute Programs

  • Serve as a liaison between the leadership development team and other ASTHO areas including engagement, meetings, and public relations to ensure proper planning and successful implementation of ALI events.

  • Design implementation plans based for various ALI cohorts including application process, timelines, staffing needs and deadlines.

  • Coordinates all correspondence and scheduling for program participants.

  • Support the Director in delivery of training programs for virtual, hybrid and in-person events.

  • Prepare, edit, and distribute documents and professional correspondence on behalf of the team.

  • Conduct best practice research and prepare briefing materials, annotated agendas and/or written summaries.

  • Work with the communications and pr team to develop a comprehensive plan to market, promote and capture program experiences and testimonials on an ongoing basis.

  • Consult with project teams to identify relevant resources and opportunities for collaboration with the ALI program.

  • Assist in writing progress reports and evaluating program activities and outcomes.

  • Create, maintain and provide status reports to the ALI Director on a regular basis.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field required.

  • 5 years of progressive experience in relevant area.

  • Strong written and oral communications skills are essential.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team is required.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills necessary.

  • Experience working for membership association and/or government officials is preferred.
