Are you a skilled Maintenance Worker with a commitment to excellent guest service? If so, we want you to join our team at Holiday Inn Express & Suites - Latham!

As our Maintenance Worker, you will be responsible for maintaining the overall operation of our maintenance department, ensuring the appearance and working order of the hotel is always top-notch.

Your day-to-day duties will include performing minor building maintenance, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical functions on the interior and exterior of the building, common areas, pool, and hotel grounds. You will also be responsible for ensuring the timely maintenance repairs of all equipment in guest rooms, including plumbing, carpentry, electrical, HVAC, and furniture. Additionally, you will participate in monthly safety inspections and ensure compliance with safety and emergency procedures.

To be successful in this role, you must have overall maintenance knowledge and troubleshooting ability, with skills in painting, equipment, and tool usage. You must also have a flexible work schedule to cover emergencies and inspections, and maintain an image of competence and professionalism with guests, employees, and management staff.

Requirements:

• Commitment to excellent guest service
• Multi-tasking abilities
• Bending, stooping, kneeling, and ability to handle, carry or lift items up to 100 pounds
• General maintenance knowledge (carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, equipment, and tool usage)
• Evening, weekend, and holiday hours may be required
• Ability to walk and stand during the entire working shift
• Must be able to carry, walk, sit, push, pull, and lift up to 100 pounds
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
