Mechanic/ Maintenance Technician - Freight Division

Paid Weekly

Scheduled Shift Mon-Fri and Overtime available

First Shift 6:30am - 3pm

$21.50 Hour

SC2 is looking for a highly motivated team player to join our freight division as full-time Maintenance Technician. This position will be responsible for fixing superficial damage to our trailers such as broken taillights, holes in trailer walls, damaged runners, air lines, etc...

Will not be required or asked to work on the tractor engine. We are looking for someone who enjoys working with their hands and wants to increase their knowledge in maintenance work. Attitude is more important than experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES & ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

• Provide repairs on our fleet of trailers that occurs from day-to-day use.
• Perform mechanic skill; including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of trailers.
• Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service
• Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments
• Use a variety of hand and power tools in performing duties
• Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
• Other duties as assigned or needed.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be able to work long periods while continuously twisting, bending, reaching, standing, stooping, and lifting
• Must be able to work around a plant environment with extreme seasonal temperatures
• Must be able to safely walk and work around machinery
• Must be able to use hand tools and power tool

Preferred experience:

Any prior hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical and industrial skills
Must be highly motivated and able to work independently
