Title Maintenance Technician

Supervisor Associate Pastor

Basic Function The Maintenance Employee is responsible for care and cleaning of the equipment and facilities as it may apply and as assigned. The Maintenance Employee’s activities should make the church buildings a clean, safe, and conducive environment for the worship and study of His Word.

Responsibilities/Tasks

1. Perform routine maintenance program.

2. Vacuum carpets.

3. Clean windows.

4. Clean restrooms.

5. Empty trash.

6. Accommodate church members’ requests for chairs and other equipment in various meeting rooms.

7. Operate heating/cooling systems at maximum efficiency while maintaining a comfortable atmosphere for scheduled building use.

8. Perform repairs on church buildings or equipment when possible or secure repairs with concurrence of the Maintenance Committee, Trustees, or Senior Pastor.

9. Perform repairs on church buildings and/or equipment when possible and report any deficiencies to the Associate Pastor.

10. Change light bulbs and tubes.

11. Clean parking lots and spray for weeds, especially prior to Sunday worship.

12. Cleaning/mopping of floors.

13. Work with Associate Pastor and Maintenance Committee in developing budget recommendations for the physical properties portion of the annual budget.

13. Perform other duties as assigned by the Associate Pastor.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.00 - $22.00 per hour
