Empire Staffing Network is seeking a quailifed candidate to fill the direct hire role of Maintenance Technician.

Second Shift - 3 PM - 11PM Monday - Friday

Job Summary: Maintenance Technician is responsible for diagnosing and repairing issues with electrical and/or mechanical pieces of equipment. Maintenance Technician performs preventative and predictive maintenance on plant equipment to optimize safety, quality and production efficiency. Diagnose problems, recommend and perform electrical and mechanical repairs to minimize downtime

Maintenance Technician Duties:

  • Maintains a clean and orderly work area/warehouse
  • Maintains a safe working environment by following all company safety policies and procedures and reports unsafe conditions and incidents, while maintaining quality standards
  • Reviews, repairs and maintains electrical safety and electronic requirements on all equipment
  • Inspects and tests machines and equipment
  • Troubleshoots, repairs, performs minor programming and maintaining of PLCs, drive systems, and PID Loops
  • Diagnoses root cause and maintains 3-phase electrical system, motors, breakers, starters, and overloads
  • Installs power supply wiring and conduit for existing and newly installed machines and equipment such as conveyors, and programmable controllers
  • Reviews, initiates and closes current preventative maintenance program
  • Dismantles, relocates and installs production equipment
  • Other duties as assigned

Maintenance Technician Qualifications:

  • Electrician certificate, or 1-2 years of related experience/training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Previous experience maintaining equipment in a manufacturing atmosphere a plus
  • Experience and knowledgeable in electrical requirements and standards
  • Experience with machine drive systems (specifically Allen-Bradley, Parker, and Yaskawa)
  • Experience with HVAC equipment and operation
  • Must possess good problem-solving skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
  • Basic computer knowledge
  • Must be dedicated to continuous improvement
  • Willingness to work as team member or independently

Pay: $32.00 - $36.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • 12 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
