This is an excellent entry level opportunity for those who wish to learn and advance into the MRO Buyer position.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

This list of duties and responsibilities is not all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities, as management may deem necessary from time to time.

1. Follow the guidelines of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), uniform and dress code, and product safety requirements.

2. Maintain departmental housekeeping standards, keeping work area clean and safe at all times.

3. Maintain a good attendance record and positive attitude.

4. Support company policies and be safety conscious at all times.

5. Report safety concerns and defective equipment to immediate supervisor.

6. Comply with all governmental, including the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Operational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and customer requirements.

7. Purchase items for maintenance operations and repairs.

8. Aid in reducing the overall costs of maintenance.

9. Create and place purchase orders.

10. Update and maintain parts and equipment inventory in computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).

11. Conduct regular physical inventories of parts.

12. Maintain a clean and organized stockroom.

13. Work in other areas as workload demands.

14. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.

· Technical school, course work, and/or training in related fields considered a plus.

· Basic Microsoft Office skills required.

· Good interpersonal, written, and organizational skills required.

Education and/or Experience

Requires education generally equivalent to a high school diploma.

Language Skills

1. Ability to read and write English.

2. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.

3. Ability to write simple correspondence.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Reasoning Ability

· Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.

· Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job:

· The employee is frequently required to stand; walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle or touch objects, tools, or controls, reach above shoulders, and talk and listen.

· The employee is occasionally required to climb, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.

· The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 30 pounds on a daily basis.

· Specific vision abilities required by this job included close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $18.50 per hour
