We are currently looking for a Maintenance Mechanic with a strong background in general manufacturing equipment repair and maintenance. This position is available in our Bellmawr NJ Plant.

Previous work at an industry in the bakery/food or pharmaceutical manufacturing is welcome.

SOME ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Ensure operation and assist to limit downtime of equipment by performing inspections, documenting issues, creating parts lists and work-orders, and performing tasks to address and eliminate noted issues.

· Diagnose and repair machine breakdowns in a timely, professional manner.

· Maintain a safe and clean work environment that meets the requirements of our Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs.)

· Generate parts requests for emergency repairs and inventory requirements.

· Modify equipment as needed to result in better efficiencies and to minimize breakdowns.

· Perform machine set-up, change-over and adjustments as needed.

· Practice lock out/tag out safety procedures and utilize PPE.

· Document work accurately, as required, to meet all policies and procedures.

· Facilities maintenance repairs as necessary

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

· 2+ years as equipment operator in a manufacturing facility.

· 2+ years’ experience with equipment maintenance, setup and adjustments of production or packaging equipment.

· Ability to diagnose equipment and process failures.

· Ability to perform mechanical and minor electrical repairs.

· Ability to identify line inefficiencies and perform adjustments and repairs.

· Ability to work with minimal supervision or assistance.

· Ability to recognize hazards and sources of energy.

· Ability to follow governmental regulations, guidelines and food safety procedures.

· Ability to communicate issues and ideas.

· Ability to work closely with and engage with a team.

ADDITIONAL SKILLS NEEDED:

· Operational knowledge with equipment such as flow wrappers, scaling and weighing for form fill operations, and other equipment requiring extensive operator setups, adjustments, and changeovers.

· Understand techniques used in the mechanical field for assembling, fastening, and the repair of common systems.

· Knowledge of ovens and other bakery equipment.

· Electrical troubleshooting.

· PLC & VFD troubleshooting.'
