WorkForce Unlimited is searching for an Experienced Maintenance Manager for one of our Premier clients in Rockingham County, NC. Below is an overview of the position.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (Education/Technical Knowledge Required)
- Certification in electronics, HVAC, MHE operation is required. Degree of certificate is preferred.
- Lean Manufacturing/Six Sigma certification is highly desirable.
- Must demonstrate proficiency in use of Microsoft Office software.
- Must demonstrate proficiency in communication skills, both oral and written.
- Must demonstrate proficiency in a broad range of management skills including leadership, problem-solving, decision-making, and teamwork.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and passport; occasional overnight and international travel is required.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
- Asset Protection & Operation – Through staff of technicians, ensures the continuous operation of the plant, property, equipment, and automated systems. Responsible for preventive maintenance programs, as well as immediate needs to meet operations goals. Ensures facility’s fire protection meets FM Global standards. Manages contracted Security Guard and monitoring services. Other services managed include electrical power, heating, cooling, pneumatics, voice, and data.
- Process Improvement – Works with operations management on continuous improvement opportunities to improve process flow and achieve cost reductions. Conducts research on new equipment, evaluates, and recommends purchase as needed. Negotiates with vendors for equipment and services.
- Project Management – Collaborates with vendors and I/E on the overall progress of construction project undertake at plant. Coordinates with operations management to mitigate impact of construction activities on production. Assists the Director of Distribution as needed in the design and development of new facilities at locations that are both domestic and international.
- Compliance – Ensures plant is fully compliant with all city, county, state, and federal laws from an environmental regulations perspective. Supports corporate EHS program and reports on a monthly basis required data into the corporate database. Ensures all FTZ requirements pertaining to the protecting and signage of property and physical facilities are maintained.
JOB EXPERIENCE REQUIRED (years and type of specific experience)
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in maintenance management within automated distribution operations and 3-5 years’ of hands- on maintenance in a distribution environment.
- Contract vendor management experience required.
- Strong knowledge of electrical power management, electronics, and HVAC is required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
