Position Summary:

Performs general facility and preventive maintenance at a variety of locations.

Standards of Performance and Conduct (each is an essential function):

• Consistently demonstrates and incorporates principals of safety, loss prevention and risk management for self and others into daily activities and ensures participation in Goodwill safety programs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Performs various construction, carpentry, electrical, mechanical and plumbing maintenance tasks related to the operations of the facility, equipment and grounds.

• Performs routine and specialized repair and maintenance on facilities and equipment, including emergency repairs.
• Responds to and evaluates and resolves requests for facilities repair or maintenance problems. Analyzes situations accurately and applies effective course of action.
• Ensures the proper maintenance of equipment and tools by cleaning and checking equipment and tools after use. Performs routine inspection and preventive maintenance on equipment and refers defects or needed repairs to supervisor.
• Safely operates a variety of construction and maintenance tools and equipment, including vehicles and material handling equipment. Checks vehicles to ensure proper and safe operations.
• Performs required labor involved in maintenance and construction projects as part of a crew or working independently.
• Preps and performs a variety of painting, including spray, roller and hand brush applications.
• Performs regular maintenance and custodial duties, including but not limited to replacing light bulbs, moving furniture and equipment, cleaning and replacing vents and screens, fence repair, upkeep of property.
• Plans jobs, responds to work orders and purchases needed materials. Completes requisitions.
• Performs other duties as assigned that would lead to successful operation of department, team and/or mission.
