Responsibilities
- Develop maintenance procedures and ensure implementation
- Carry out inspections of the facilities to identify and resolve issues in accordance with state and federal regulations
- Allocate workload and supervise maintenance, laundry and housekeeping staff
- Plan and oversee repairs as needed, or outsourced as required
- Monitor and control the maintenance department budget for staffing and repairs
- Manage relationships with contractors and service providers
- Keep maintenance logs and report on daily activities
- Ensure health and safety policies are complied with
To join this team please have the following requirements:
- Must have, as a minimum, two (2) years of experience in a maintenance position.
- Nursing home experience required.
- HVAC certification is strongly preferred.
- Must be knowledgeable of boilers, compressors, generators, etc., as well as various mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
- Must have the ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Must be knowledgeable in building codes and safety regulations.
- Must be licensed in accordance with current applicable standards, codes, labor laws, etc.
