Position Summary

Under direct supervision, operates one or more types of machines to bag and load manufactured pieces to specifications. Handles special projects, as assigned.

• Location: 2400 Appelt Houston, TX 77015 USA
• Schedule: Shift 1: 8:00am-4:00pm | shift 2: 4:00pm-12:00am | shift 3: 12:00am-8:00am Typically works 5 days on / 2 days off Must be available for all shifts
• SIGN-ON BONUS: $1500 (paid in 2 installments – 1st half paid at 90 days worked, remainder paid at 180 days worked)

Responsibilities

• Properly packages all bagged products, verifying all weights for accuracy.
• Load palletized product onto trucks and accurately complete all related paperwork.
• Maintains warehouse stock in a neat and orderly manner.
• Weigh a minimum of one bag per pallet. The weights are to be recorded on the inventory sheet. Weigh every fifth truck on a tare and loaded weight basis. The information is to be noted on the inventory sheet.
• Check the forklift at the beginning of each shift for fuel, water and oil levels brakes, hydraulics, cooling system etc. and record deficiencies.
• Tag out unsafe equipment.
• Maintain housekeeping in assigned work areas and in the restroom. Assist in other maintenance and/or production areas as required.
• Assist crusher/loader operator and mill operator when required.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Education & Experience Requirements

• High School Diploma or educational equivalent (required)
• Drivers license (required)
• Entry-level (no experience required)
• Must be able to work on-call 24/7
• Must be able to work any shift
• Must be able to work in dusty, dirty, hot, loud environment
• Basic mechanical aptitude
• Prior experience in a manufacturing, concrete, or processing plant would be helpful
• Forklift Certification helpful but not required
