Job description
We are looking for an M3 Helper for our adhesives plant in Carlisle, PA. This employee will need to be able to fill a variety of roles to support the operations in Plant 6. The M3 Helper position properly packages a variety of roofing adhesives into a range of packages. These products include: EP-95, Bonding Adhesive, and Brite-Ply splicing cement. The packages are mainly 1, 2.5, and 5-gallon cans although the possibility of other sizes does exist with production needs. The M3 Helper must maintain canning line and leads a crew of one to two people.
Job Responsibilities:
- Operate can filling equipment to fill 1, 2.5, and 5-gallon cans
- Assisting in making boxes to package 1-gallon cans
- Manually date code 2.5 and 5-gallon cans using labeling gun
- Filling and labeling pint size sample cans for Quality Assurance
- Setting up 1-gallon and date coder
- Cleaning canning line conveyor rollers daily
- Connecting to proper surge tank
- Counterweight scale operation
- Cleaning lines between product changes
- Maintaining proper housekeeping in work area
- Filling out necessary production paperwork, Quality Assurance paperwork, and labor tickets
- Changing strainer baskets
Compensation:
Starting at $26.18/hour, increases to $30.65 after 6 months
Shift differential of $0.15/hour
$1,500 Sign on Bonus! Paid in 3 installments.
Schedule:
Second shift: 3:00pm – 11:00pm, Monday – Friday
OT on weekends as needed
- Preferred experience: At least 1 year of manufacturing experience.
- Willingness to perform several jobs across different areas of the plant.
- Able to read and communicate with other employees.
- Willing and able to operate a forklift (we will train).
- Able to lift or move 50 lbs.
- Able to stand for 8 hours.
- Requires standing for extended periods, bending, reaching, pulling, and pushing.
- Able to pass 5-panel drug screening
- Able to pass pre-employment background screen that includes 7 year federal and county check.
- Reading and comprehension of orders, labels, safety data sheets, and gauges
- Forklift Operation
Education/Experience Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
