Position overview:
Logistics Support Specialist will be responsible for providing clerical and technical support to the biomedical team to ensure effective day-to-day operations through a variety of tasks related to organization. Individual will report to directly to the Biomedical Coordinator, but may be tasked to assist all upper level management throughout the company.
Schedule:
Monday through Friday; 8:00am - 5:00pm; In-Office Position. Occasional travel to surrounding hospitals & distributors.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Utilize strong communication skills to obtain and transmit water culture results with hospital contacts.
- Responsible for tracking any missing water culture results.
- Audit machine disinfection logs to ensure overall compliance.
- Review internal biomed application (Upkeep) to guarantee successful supply management is upheld for all hospital locations.
- Place orders with distributors for required supplies as necessary.
- Responsible for tracking ordered supplies for the central warehouse and hospital locations.
- Develops and maintains electronic files, spreadsheets via Microsoft Excel and correspondences.
- Transports stock or machines to and from HTI locations & distributors to support Biomed operations.
- Supports compliance with Hema-Tec Inc. policies, procedures, objectives, mission, and values.
- Handles administrative tasks such as filing, printer processes and generating reports.
- Responsible for the tracking and transmission of confidential and time sensitive material.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
- Required: Associate degree in related field with a focus in Business Administration; or two (2) years of experience in a like position.
- Minimum two (2) years of continuous work experience preferred.
- Highly proficient with Microsoft Office products (including Excel, Word, and Outlook), as well as Windows, Mac and Adobe processes.
- Experience with Upkeep application preferred, but not required.
- Valid Driver’s Licenses

- Demonstrates safe driving practices in a towing capsity for the transport of machinery.
- Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays as needed.
