What will you be doing?

• Ensure timely delivery of quality products to customers throughout the USA, using LTL, FTL and flat-bed carriers on approved vendor list
• Call carriers to schedule shipments, meeting ship dates
• Prepare accurate bills of lading and packing slips
• Work with suppliers (including internal) and carriers to coordinate timely and accurate deliveries to the Sumter plant. Enter all transactions in SAP
• Communicate heavily with corporate office related to transfers, material needs, inventory levels and any challenges to meet daily shipping goals
• Maintain communication with Customer Service and Planning regarding shipping dates and status of orders. Prepare ship schedule report daily
• Ensure that raw material, work-in-process and finished goods inventory is transacted in an accurate and timely manner and stocked in designated locations
• Contribute to the inventory improvement process by reviewing cycle count data, inventory reports, investigates and resolves discrepancies, identifying root causes, suggesting/implementing corrective measures and departmental improvement opportunities

Complete periodic inventory cycle counts including the annual physical inventory, reporting actual vs. perpetual inventory balances and investigates root causes and implements systematic solutions

What do you bring?

• High School diploma required, with some college preferred
• At least 3 years of related experience
• Intermediate to advanced MS Excel Skills
• Previous exposure to SAP preferred
• Professional communication and strong customer service skills with a high pace/sense of urgency to meet goals and contribute to customer satisfaction
• Reliable transportation
• Great attendance
