LANTER LOGISTICS is a 3PL provider of temperature-controlled TL and LTL transportation services. In addition to providing transportation brokerage services to its primary clients, Lanter Logistics works closely with its sister organization, Lanter Distributing LLC, to provide LTL Rate Quotes, Lanter Distribution fleet support and Asset-Light Dedicated Operations resources.

Lanter Logistics has an opening for an experienced Sales and Logistics Coordinator.

Shift: Monday-Friday (8:00a-5:00p)

Essential Functions:

• Generate new business leads and follow up on client referrals.
• Negotiate shipping rates with carriers and finalize service contracts.
• Build relationships with prospective and current customers to understand shipping needs and provide solutions.
• Broker loads by providing effective communication.
• Schedule delivery appointments, track and arrange shipments, and communicate with client teams to provide responsive customer service and resolve issues quickly and efficiently.
• Investigate product overage, shortage, and damage and provide appropriate documents as necessary.
• Manage the day-to-day operations of accounts to ensure efficiency and cost effectiveness.
• Monitor daily pick-ups and deliveries while updating designated personnel and leadership on problems loads and actions taken.

Requirements:

• Five years of brokerage knowledge and experience.
• Two years of previous sales experience.
• An understanding of the transportation industry including LTL and/or temperature-controlled knowledge.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to establish rapport and ability to build credibility.
• Previous dispatching and customer service experience.
• Must be self-motivated, able to multitask and meet deadlines.
• High school diploma or equivalent with industry experience.
