Job description

You will identify, create, and sustain improvements in Matco’s indirect spend, including inbound and outbound transportation networks. We are open to candidates living in Stow, OH, Antioch TN, or Clearfield UT.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Analyze data from various sources to identify potential savings opportunities across the supply chain
• Own savings funnel and drive projects to completion
• Vendor/carrier contract negotiations
• Maintain inbound and outbound routing guides
• Approve freight invoices and ensure freight payment system logic is accurate
• File and collect freight claims with Matco's carriers
• Lead scratch and dent toolbox sales events
• Cover for Logistics Administrator when necessary
• Drive these metrics:
• Outbound freight as a % of sales
• Inbound freight as a % of receipts
• Time to credit distributors
• Freight claims over 45 days old
• Total open claims $
• Total indirect savings

WHO YOU ARE

• BS degree required
• Background in transportation and logistics is a plus
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Analytical skills (experience with Power BI a plus)
• Supplier negotiation experience
• Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint
• Ability to work cross-functionally
