Job Summary:

• The Logistics Analyst is a detail-oriented analyst position requiring focus, precision, and critical thinking. This person will provide deep-dive analysis and data-supported solutions to complex supply chain problems. You will be expected to innovate and improve processes while increasing communication companywide, utilizing new techniques, technology, and perspectives. The position will interact and cross-train with multiple departments including Sales, Marketing, and Production, and externally with suppliers and with that must be able to learn and adapt existing knowledge to a constantly changing landscape.

Job Requirements:

• Conduct bottoms-up spend analysis by a vendor on transportation and storage
• Forecast inbound and outbound shipment volume by week per third party logistics provider
• Deep-dive analysis into accessorial spend by carrier and root cause analysis into the causes
• Balance inventory to meet targets while monitoring warehouse capacity
• Identify and assist in resolving slow-moving, aged, and discontinued finished goods
• Collaborate with production planners to align on production schedules to assist in decision making
• Gathers and interprets relevant data (productivity, demand patterns, inventory turns, aged inventory, costs, etc.)
• Provides deep-dive analysis and Logistics scorecards utilizing business intelligence (BI) software covering inventory on-hand, on-time, in-transit, redeploys, order cuts, service fill, and cost performance.
• Provides monthly updated cost-performance rate and volume variance analysis vs budget and LE as well as extend cost forecast for YTG and FY estimates for direct materials
• Investigates and communicates inventory, supply, and demand issues to appropriate personnel.
• Identifies process improvements.
• Provides analytical support for projects, new business opportunities, and products.

Skills/Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited 4-year university.
• 3-5 years experience
• Familiarity with logistics and production planning concepts (e.g., just-in-time, materials requirement planning).
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical & organizational skills.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication (oral & written) skills.
• Desire to learn and be challenged
• Expert knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite.
• Experience developing reports and analysis using BI software
• Skilled in Excel and comfortable with mathematics and statistics.
• Experienced with computers and software systems and coding a plus.
• Experience in the food industry is preferred.
