Basic Qualifications
Education/Training: A high school diploma or equivalent.
Skill(s): Proficient reading, writing, grammar, and mathematics skills; proficient interpersonal relations and communicative skills; moderate PC skills; thorough knowledge of bank lending policy and procedures; technical supervisory skills sufficient to provide guidance and training to Loan Services Representative I(s); visual and auditory skills.
Experience: A minimum of two (2) years' related experience normally required.
General Responsibilities
Responsible for performing post-closing review functions and follow up as necessary; coordinating work within the department, as well as with other departments; reporting pertinent information to the immediate supervisor; responding to inquiries or requests for information; assisting the immediate supervisor with administrative tasks to support department operations.
Essential Duties
1. Performs various duties to support the post-closing loan process as follows:
a. At completion of loan input, completes a post-closing audit to ensure that the loan was closed in accordance with required approval, that all required documents were completed required procedures were followed.
b. Documents exceptions items, missing items, and incomplete items identified during the post-closing review on the closed loan open item matrix. Do follow-up to remove documentation exceptions.
c. Maintains closed loan open item matrix and reports to the supervisor and/or management on a regular basis.
d. Removes items on the exception matrix only after verification that the missing item has either been received or corrected in the file as a part of the review follow-up.
e. Completes a review of new and existing loan files to ensure that all documents are present and in compliance with various regulatory agency policies and guidelines. Assist Loan Documentation Review Specialist in any way possible.
2. Coordinates specific work tasks with other personnel within the department as well as with other departments in order to ensure the smooth and efficient flow of information.
3. Abides by the current laws and organizational policies and procedures designed and implemented to promote an environment which is free of harassment and other forms of illegal discriminatory behavior in the work place.
4. Cooperates with, participates in, and supports the adherence to all internal policies, procedures, and practices in support of risk management and overall safety and soundness and the Bank's compliance with all regulatory requirements.
5. Reports pertinent information to the immediate supervisor as requested, or according to an established schedule; compiles information as necessary or as directed and provides data to appropriate Bank personnel.
6. Responds to inquiries relating to his/her particular area, or to requests from customers, other Bank personnel, etc., within given time frames and within established policy.
7. Assists the immediate supervisor with administrative tasks to support department operations.
