Commercial Bank & Trust Company is currently seeking a Loan Assistant in Memphis, TN. Duties of this position include:

• Assists multiple loan officers in preparing loan files for processing.
• Answers incoming phone calls, assist customer as needed or reroutes call to appropriate person.
• Assists customers in the loan officer’s absence.
• Assists loan officers in collecting past due loan payments.
• Complies with CIP requirements and obtains required CIP documentation as initial processing of loan request and recognize address discrepancies that need documentation to ensure correct information is on customer profile.
• Seeks expanded deposit and loan relationships with customers.

• Ability to multi-task and prioritize requests from loan officers, operations, customers, and co-workers and manage expectations through excellent communication.

Preferred skills:

• Tact and public relations ability
• Good communication skills
• Ability to work well with others
• Broad knowledge of the bank’s products, credit policy, and procedures
• Proficient with PC

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• Three (3) years of previous work experience in loan assistance, loan processing, or paralegal is preferred
