New Canaan Family - Live-in nanny position

Children: Three girls, ages 3, 4 and 5.

Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:00am - 7:00pm. No travel is needed!

Living Quarters: Nanny has her own fully furnished mother-in-law suite in a separate building on the property.

Pay/Benefits: $93,600 - $120,000 annual salary. W2 or cash options. Benefits include 2 weeks paid vacation, 3-5 personal days, federal holidays paid and off. Family can provide a nanny vehicle. The family can cover reasonable relocation costs for the nanny.

The perfect nanny is someone who can take initiative and is a truly experienced nanny. She is clean, tidy, smart and can grow with the family for years to come! We are looking for a nanny who can take a holistic approach to the busy household. Someone who doesn’t need to ask a lot of questions because she understands a natural flow of a child’s day. This position will include some household management but no family cooking (e.g. organizing, some groceries and laundry, etc). This isn’t a “childcare only” position and the family are looking for a nanny who can help out around the house without needing handholding. For example, if the girls are in daycare/school, the nanny chooses to utilize her time to organize the kid’s closets and meal plan for the week.

With the children, the nanny can help the girls resolve conflicts amongst themselves and lead by example to be polite/kind people. Lots of reading, pretend play, singing, and driving to classes like ballet and tennis. These girls are super sweet and loving! Nanny will be responsible for full childcare of the 3 children when they aren’t in daycare/preschool. The family are planning a 4th child at some point of the future so newborn care is a plus, but not a requirement, and this could be a very long term position if the nanny chooses.

No pets are in the home. Household has a team of housecleaners that come once a week.

Looking to hire as soon as possible but can wait for a nanny to give notice to her current position.

This is a very sweet/kind set of parents who have professional careers working outside of the home the majority of the time. They want the nanny to feel like family!
