Tucked in the basement of the historic Strickland house, with walls covered in customer-autographed dollar bills, you will feel as though you're in Dublin. There is also a covered patio and a pet-friendly, open-air deck. We provide live entertainment almost every day of the week. People love getting into some fun-filled Shenanigans, so here we are! Shenanigans is a truly great place to spend time with family or friends, or to meet new ones.

We are looking for line cooks! Full Time or Part Time! Super flexible scheduling!

About You:

We are depending on you to maintain and exceed our standards in supporting the quality of service we are known for by playing a key part in supporting our team behind the scenes.

Your responsibilities include but are not limited to; Cooking meats, fish, vegetables, soups, and other hot food products as well as to prepare and portion food products prior to cooking. You will be performing duties in the area of food and final plate preparation including plating and garnishing for a perfect presentation.

Have experience in any of the following positions: Grill/Broil, Lead or Backup Sauté, Lead or Backup Fry, BOH Expo.

Schedules:

Multiple positions are available for work hours from 8 AM-4 PM+, 4 PM-11:30 PM+ based on volume. We are flexible with your preferred days off.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Inspect, clean, and maintain food preparation areas, such as equipment, work surfaces, and serving areas to ensure safe and sanitary food-handling practices.
  • Ensure food is stored and cooked at correct temperatures by regulating the operation of ovens, broilers, grills, fryers, roasters and other kitchen equipment.
  • Ensure freshness of food and ingredients by checking for quality, keeping track of dates, labeling, rotation, and waste management.
  • Comply with restaurant standards for portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen rules, policies and procedures.
  • Food Safety adherence with a clean well-groomed appearance, 100% glove usage, aprons and chef coats, head coverage, closed toe shoes, uniform apparel without frays or holes.
  • Stocking and maintaining sufficient levels of food products at line stations to support smooth service.
  • Assisting in food preparation assignments for off-site catering, special events and large parties, and participating in seasonal festivals during off peak periods.
  • Opening the kitchen to ensure a clean and food safe environment is present at all times before opening the doors for business. Ensure readiness for volume before peak service through food preparation, par levels, line setup, teamwork, and stocking.
  • Closing the kitchen following developed checklists for kitchen stations by working efficiently as a team to ensure cleanliness.
  • Be flexible with your schedule to support the needs of the restaurant with a focus on punctuality and attitude.
