About Us:

We are a small, newly-opened, family-owned sports bar in Waterloo. We are open mostly nights and weekends with plans to expand hours and offer a welcoming team with a fast-paced work environment and opportunity for growth.

We Need:

A full time/ part-time line cook to work the grill / fryer / pizza station. The ideal candidate should have open availability for nights and weekends and be well-equipped to perform the following tasks:

• Set up and break down the line for each shift

• Successfully prepare dishes that take a short amount of cook time, according to customer requests

• Cook a variety of items quickly and correctly

• Able to follow recipes and prepare dishes accordingly

• Use knowledge of common allergies and dietary restrictions to modify recipes on the fly when requested

• Use the correct portions when cutting, preping, and serving

• Pro-actively use non-peak service time to prepare for peak service times and rushes

• Avoid food waste by observing food storage time and temperature standards

• Plate each dish according to standards

• Restock the line with food products as needed

• Complete assigned daily/ weekly/ monthly cleaning tasks

• Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, and utensils

• Operate and clean the line including gas burners, flat-top grill, char grill, hood vents, fryers, reach-in refrigerators, reach in freezers etc.

• Be a team player and help with necessary dishes and cleaning tasks throughout shift

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
