What you will do as a LPN:

• Provide for the clinical management of the patient under the direction of the Registered Nurse.
• Possess the knowledge and skill to provide direct care to the patient.
• Function as a Team Module leader or Primary Care Provider.
• Promote satisfaction of customers (patients, visitors, physicians and staff).
• Participate in and understands Quality Management activities.
• Demonstrate effective communication skills.
• Demonstrate understanding of hospital and departmental policy and procedures.
• Promote cost effective unit operations.
• Document nursing care utilizing the appropriate tools.
• Demonstrate an awareness of self-learning needs.
• Comply with professional, regulatory governmental and departmental standards.

Education:

• Graduation from an accredited school of Practical Nursing (required)
• Currently enrolled in a Registered Nursing program at an accredited school (preferred)

Licensure/Certifications:

• Current License in Virginia as a Licensed Practical Nurse (required)
• American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS or BCLS) Health Care Provider (required)

Experience:

• At least 1 year of LPN experience (preferred)
• Previous LPN experience in an acute care facility (preferred)
