The Commonwealth Center for Children & Adolescents is hiring full-time Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) to provide nursing care and medication management to hospitalized psychiatric patients age 17 and under. LPN's provide medication management, including dispensing, administering, and documenting use of medication in patient charts, and ensuring med rooms are properly stocked.

LPN responsibilities also include supporting, and working collaboratively with Direct Care Staff, including working direct care to provide necessary breaks to PNAs, and sitting 1:1 when necessary.

LPNs assist RNs with monitoring patients, documenting charts, and ensuring a safe and therapeutic milieu; supervising PNAs and serving as positive role models; assisting with admissions and discharges and providing patient and family education, particularly with regards to medications.

The Center provides 24-hour care and positions are currently available on 1st & 2nd shifts.

LPN's are off every other weekend and have the flexibility of 8 hour or 12 hour shifts. Additional shift pay ranges between $2.50 to $4.00 an hour.
