Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

Rate of Pay: $42.00/hour

Location: Manchester, CT and surrounding area; Waterbury, CT and surrounding area

NOTE: ALL EMPLOYEES MUST BE WILLING TO ROTATE BETWEEN Alliance Medial Group in the Greater Waterbury area, and ECHN Medical Group in the Manchester/Vernon area.

SCOPE OF POSITION:

The practice of nursing by a Licensed Practical Nurse is defined as the performing of selected tasks in a medical office setting. Primary responsibilities include triaging incoming calls from clients, assessing needs, and giving appropriate clinical options. Will educate the caller when appropriate regarding immediate care, advice and preventative behaviors. Makes decisions about patients needing to be seen urgently, same day or next day. In addition, administers injections, implements physician orders, notifies patients of results as directed, and refills prescriptions. Reports to the Associate Director of Operations of Healthcare Staffing on Demand, LLC.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

REQUIREMENTS:

• State of CT LPN license.
• Good oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• CPR certified.
• Cannot be currently employed at Waterbury Hospital or ECHN.
• Ability to read and write English with a command of verbal English.
• Ability to work well and collaboratively with other members of the health care team.
• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality.
• Must have basic computer skills
• Ability to meet the care needs of the patient population served.

CONTINUING EDUCATION:

• Employees are required to successfully complete mandatory education/training as assigned.
• It is the employee’s responsibility to complete and return all continuing education documents, i.e. certificates/forms by the posted due date to document knowledge of recent changes.

WORK REQUIREMENT:

• A minimum of 24 hours per month
• A maximum of 130 hours per month will be permitted.
• All employees must be willing to rotate between Alliance Medical Group and ECHN Medial Group.
