Job Requirements:

• High school diploma or graduation equivalency degree (GED) is required.
• Graduate of Massage Therapy program required.
• Must be currently licensed as a Massage Therapist (LMT) in the State of Colorado.
• Must be willing to cover for Denver andThornton locations if necessary.
• Clerical duties during down time

• Basic data entry computer knowledge.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred, but not required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Knowledge and skill in performing light, moderate, and deep tissue massage in medical setting on patients with multiple concurrent injuries.

Essential Functions, Job Duties, and Responsibilities:

• Applies finger and hand pressure to specific points of the body as directed by the referring Chiropractor and/or Physical Therapist. Verbally confirms patient’s medical history to ensure that massage is not contraindicated.
• Communicates with referring provider and other healthcare professionals such as medical doctors, chiropractors, physical therapists, and psychologists regarding efficacy of massage and all observed responses to treatment.
• Acts as a Chiropractic Assistant as necessary for the purposes of providing treatments with modalities such as hot packs, cold packs, electrical stimulation, infrared light therapy, ultrasound, and paraffin (full on-site training will be provided).
• Assists with translations as necessary for medical, chiropractic, and physical therapy (per availability and skill set of the employee).
• Complies with all OSHA and HIPAA policies along with all policies and procedures established by Synergy Health Partners.
• Maintains a professional and courteous environment.
• Maintains clean and fully stocked massage rooms, to include light laundry and folding.
• Maintains strict patient and employee confidentiality.
• Attends all mandatory staff meetings.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Physical Demands: Must be able to perform 15-30 minute massages (specific to injured areas) with short breaks between patients for cleaning room, washing hands, etc throughout entire shift (excluding lunch and break periods.) Hourly pay continues during times when a massage is not being done

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $23.00 per hour
