Project Turnabout has an opening for a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (Outpatient) at our Redwood Falls, MN campus. We are seeking a candidate who is committed to making a difference in the lives of others. This position requires licensure (Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor – LADC) or actively seeking license eligibility (ADC-T) in the State of Minnesota. Project Turnabout is a mission-based organization offering high-quality treatment at an affordable rate. JOB REQUIREMENTS

1. Must meet state licensure requirements or able to be licensed according to MN Board of Behavioral Health and Therapy standards and/or be able to acquire a temporary license upon employment with Project Turnabout. Once having met the licensure requirements, be willing to become fully licensed in the field of Alcohol and Drug Counseling or a related field with at least an associate’s degree.

2. Pass a MN Dept. of Human Services criminal background study.

3. Must be able to document at least two years of freedom from chemical/gambling use problems.

4. Counselors must be at least 21 years of age.

5. Counselor will not work as a counselor until he/she has attained either temporary or full licensure in the field of addictions.

6. Must maintain a professional demeanor in keeping with all policies and procedures of Project Turnabout with regard to dress code; respectfulness toward patients, patients’ family members, staff, referral sources, vendors, etc.; good attendance and punctuality; and all other policies and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook.

7. Be able to communicate by phone and email with referral sources. Discuss the patient problems and needs with them in an attempt to arrive at an appropriate treatment course of action.

8. Must be willing and able to take direction from supervisor and leadership teams.

9. Be proficient on the computer by having excellent written and oral communication skills. Also be willing to learn Procentive Program for report and record keeping.
