The John T. Floyd Law Firm is seeking applicants for Legal Assistant/ Paralegal to join the firm. The ideal legal assistant will have an interest in criminal law, be computer savvy with knowledge of Microsoft 365 suite of apps, including TEAMs and Zoom. The postion will be responsible for providing administrative support to two attorneys at the firm and communicating with clients and potential clients. This will be a full time position that requires primarily in-person work. Ideal for happy, energetic person who likes to talk and can empathize with those in most stressful moments of their lives

We are looking for a Legal Receptionist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for greeting visitors, answering incoming calls, and providing administrative support to the legal team. The ideal candidate should have excellent communication skills, a professional demeanor, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. We are looking for someone who is organized and detail-oriented and can handle confidential information with discretion.

Responsibilities:

• Greet visitors and answer incoming calls in a professional manner.
• Maintain a clean and organized reception area.
• Schedule appointments and manage calendars for attorneys and staff.
• Maintain client files and records in accordance with legal standards.
• Assist attorneys with administrative tasks such as filing, photocopying, faxing, and scanning documents.
• Provide support to attorneys in preparing legal documents.
• Answer inquiries from clients and other members of the public.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.50 - $20.00 per hour
